湖北大学孔子学院奖学金申请办法(2019年)Application Information for Confucius Institute Scholarship 2019

   为培养合格的汉语教师,促进汉语国际推广和中国文化传播,孔子学院总部/国家汉办(以下简称汉办)设立孔子学院奖学金,委托孔子学院、独立设置的孔子课堂、海外部分汉语考试考点(以下简称推荐机构)推荐优秀学生和在职汉语教师到湖北大学学习。

一、资助对象

1.非中国籍人士。

2.身心健康,品学兼优。

3.有志于从事汉语教育、教学及汉语国际推广相关工作。

4.年龄为16-35周岁(统一以20199月1日计)。在职汉语教师放宽至45周岁。

二、奖学金类别及申请条件

1.汉语国际教育专业硕士  

20199月入学,资助期限为2年。

具有大学本科学历。汉语考试成绩达到HSK(五级)210分、HSKK(中级)60分。提供毕业后拟任教机构工作协议或相关证明者优先。

2.一学年研修生  

20199月入学,资助期限为11个月。不录取在华留学生

2.1汉语国际教育

汉语考试成绩达到HSK(三级)270分,具有HSKK成绩。

2.2汉语言文学、中国历史、中国哲学

汉语考试成绩达到HSK(四级)180分、HSKK(中级)60分。

2.3汉语研修

汉语考试成绩达到HSK(三级)210分。

3.一学期研修生

20199月、20203月入学,资助期限为5个月。不录取护照上有X1、X2签证者。

3.1汉语国际教育、汉语言文学、中国历史、中国哲学

汉语考试成绩达到HSK(三级)180分,具有HSKK成绩。

32太极文化

具有HSK成绩。

三、办理流程

20193月1日起,申请者同时登录孔子学院奖学金网站cis.chinese.cn)及湖北大学国际学生在线服务系统(hubu.17gz.org/member/login.do)申请孔子学院奖学金。

1登录孔子学院奖学金网站,查询推荐机构与湖北大学2在线提交申请材料,关注申请进程、审核意见与奖学金评审结果;3奖学金获得者与湖北大学确认办理来华留学手续,在线打印获奖证书;4按湖北大学录取通知书规定的时间入学报到。

申请截止日期为:

1.520日(9月入学)。

2.1120日(2019年3月入学)。

奖学金将集中评审,择优资助,于入学前3个月完成奖学金评审工作,公布评审结果。

四、关于汉语桥获奖者

在各类汉语桥比赛中获得2019年度“孔子学院奖学金证书”者,登录孔子学院奖学金网站凭奖学金证书向目标湖北大学提交申请材料。

附录1.


孔子学院奖学金资助内容及标准


孔子学院奖学金资助内容包括学费、住宿费、生活费(四周研修生除外)和综合医疗保险费

1.学费由湖北大学统筹用于奖学金生培养与管理,开展文化活动,组织参加汉语考试学费不包含教材费和旅游景点门票。

2住宿费由湖北大学统筹使用,学生提供免费宿舍,一般为双人间;经奖学金生申请、湖北大学批准,选择校外住宿学校按月或季度发放住宿费,标准为700元人民币/月。

3生活费由湖北大学按月发放。一学年和一学期研修生标准为2500元人民币/月;汉语国际教育专业硕士生为3000元人民币/月。

奖学金生按湖北大学录取通知书规定的时间入学报到否则取消奖学金资格。当15日(含15日)前到校注册者,当月发放全额生活费;15日以后注册者,月发放半月生活费

奖学金生在学期间(不含寒暑假)因个人原因离开中国时间超过15天,停发华期间生活费

奖学金生因个人原因休学、退学或受湖北大学纪律处分者,停发自、退学或接到处分通知之日起的生活费。

(结)的生活费发至学校确定的毕(结)业日期后的半个月

4综合医疗保险参照中国教育部来华留学有关规定执行,由湖北大学统一购买。四周研修生标准160元人民币/人,一学期研修生为400元人民币/人,一学年以上标准800元人民币/年/人


附录2.

孔子学院奖学金申请材料清单


一、与所有申请者有关的证明材料

1.护照照片页扫描件彩色、清晰、全页扫描件

2HSKHSKK成绩报告(有效期两年)扫描件。

3.推荐孔子学院/孔子课堂负责人的推荐信。

二、与学历生有关的证明材料

1.提供最高学历证明(毕业预期证明)和在校学习成绩单原件扫描件及中文或英文翻译件扫描件

2.汉语国际教育专业硕士须提供两名副教授以上职称导师的推荐信。提供毕业后拟任教机构工作协议者优先资助。

三、在职汉语教师须附上就职机构出具的在职证明和推荐信。

四、未满18周岁的申请者,须提交在华监护人署名的委托证明文件。

五、其他证明材料

1. 外国人体检报告

2. 经济证明

3. 无犯罪记录证明


Application Information for Confucius Institute Scholarship

2019


In order to train and cultivate highly-qualified Chinese language teachers and facilitate the promotion of Chinese language and culture, the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) has launched the “Confucius Institute Scholarship” (CIS). Its aim is to support outstanding students, scholars and Chinese language teachers recommended by Confucius Institutes, independently operated Confucius Classrooms as well as some HSK test centers (hereinafter to be collectively referred to as “recommending institutions”) to study in Chinese universities and colleges (hereinafter referred to as “host institutions”).


l ELIGIBILITY

All applicants must be

a) Foreign nationals (Non-Chinese citizens)

b) In good physical and mental health and have a track record of both good academic performance and behaviour

c) Aspire to a career in teaching or the international promotion of the Chinese language.

d) Between the age of 16-35 (as of September 1st, 2019). Applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers should not exceed the age limit of 45.


l SCHOLARSHIP TYPES AND QUALIFICATIONS

A. Scholarship for Master’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL)

Commences in September 2019 and provides a scholarship up to two academic years. Applicants must be Bachelor degree holders, and have a minimum score of 210 in HSK 5 as well as 60 in the HSKK test (Intermediate Level). Applicants who are able to provide notarized copies of future employment offers (upon the completion of their studies) are preferred.

B. Scholarship for One-Academic-Year Study

Commences in September 2019, and provides a scholarship for up to 11 months. International students currently studying in China are not eligible.

i. TCSOL

Applicants must have achieved a minimum score of 270 in HSK 3. Must have taken the HSKK exam but no specific score in required.

ii. Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History, and Chinese Philosophy

Applicants must have achieved a minimum score of 180 in HSK 4 and 60 in the HSKK exam (intermediate level).

iii. Chinese Language Study

Applicants must have achieved a minimum score of 210 in HSK 3.

C. Scholarship for One-Semester Study

Commences either in September 2019 or March 2020, and provides a scholarship for up to 5 months. Applicants who have previously held X1 or X2 visas are not eligible.

i. TCSOL, Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History and Chinese Philosophy

Applicants shall have a minimum score of 180 in HSK test (Level 3). Applicants must have taken the HSSK exam but no specific score is required.

ii. Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taiji Culture programme

Applicants must have taken an HSK exam but no specific score is required.

l APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Online registration will be available from March 1, 2019 on the Confucius Institute Scholarship website (cis.chinese.cn) and the Hubei University International Student Service System (hubu.17gz.org/member/login.do). Please log-in to search for recommending institutions and host institutions You can upload application materials online, track your a application progress, as well as view feedback and admission results. Scholarship holders need to confirm the relevant procedures with their host institutions, print out their CIS certificate online, and register with their host institutions within the designated deadline, as per the letter of admission.

The application deadlines are

a) May 20th (for those commencing in September 2019)

b) November 20th (for those commencing in March 2020)

Hanban will review scholarship applications and notify applicants of the results three months before each enrollment date.


l CHINESE BRIDGE AWARD RECIPIENT POLICIES

Chinese Bridge winners who have been awarded the 2019 “Confucius Institute Scholarship Certificate” need to log onto the scholarship website and submit the relevant documents to their host institution- including but not limited to their CIS certificate. l OTHERS

a)  For information related to your major, please contact Hubei University

b) Applicants should familiarize themselves with specific criteria and be aware of the registration deadlines. Specific procedures to submit the necessary documents must be followed.

c)  Degree students will be subject to annual assessment under the Annual Appraisal Procedures of Confucius Institute Scholarship

d)  Those who failed to register on time, fail to pass the health assessment, drop out midway and/or get suspended will be not be awarded their scholarship.

Appendix 1


Confucius Institute Scholarship Coverage and Criteria


The Confucius Institute Scholarship provides full coverage on tuition fees, accommodation fees, as well as a living allowance (four-week study students are excluded) and comprehensive medical insurance.

a) Tuition fee is to be used to provide teaching, as well as provide scholarship students organizing cultural and social activities, as well as organizing Chinese language proficiency tests. Tuition fee does not cover the cost of textbooks or extra-curricular travel.

b) Accommodation fee is under the overall planning and utilization of host institutions to provide students with in-campus apartments. Students may also live off-campus upon application and getting permission from the host institutions. Students who live off-campus are entitled to accommodation allowance of 700 CNY per person/month paid on a monthly / quarterly basis from the host institutions.

c) Living allowance is granted by host institutions on a monthly basis. The monthly allowance for undergraduates, one-academic-year study students and one-semester students is 2,500 CNY per person. For MTCSOL student, the monthly allowance is 3,000 CNY per person.

Students are required to complete the relevant enrollment procedures for each semester within the stipulated period; otherwise, their scholarship may be canceled. Students who are enrolled before the 15th (inclusive) of the month are entitled to the full allowance for that month while those enrolled after the 15th of that month are only entitled to half of the amount.

During the study period, any student who is absent from China due to personal reasons for more than 15 days (excluding winter and summer holidays), their allowance for this period will be suspended.

For students who suspend their studies or drop out of school for personal reasons, or who are given disciplinary punishment by the host institutions, their allowance will be terminated on the date of such suspension. Either, on the date they drop out or when the University reach a decision to punish them.

The living allowance for the month of graduation will be granted half a month after the date of graduation or expiration day of the study confirmed by host institutions.

Comprehensive medical insurance is purchased by the host institutions in accordance with relevant regulations related to international study in China stipulated by the Ministry of Education of China. The insurance fee per person is 160 CNY for the four- week programme, 400 CNY for one-semester students, and 800 CNY per year for students who will spend two- semesters at the University.











Appendix 2


Application Documents for Confucius Institute Scholarship


A. For all applicants

a) A Scanned copy of the passport photo page

b) A scanned copy of score reports from both the HSK and HSKK tests (within the two-year validity).

c) A Recommendation letter- from the head of the recommending institutions

B. For degree scholarship program applicants

a) A certification of the highest education diploma (or proof of expected graduation) and an official transcript.

b) Applicants of the Scholarship for MTCSOL Students are required to provide 2 reference letters from professors or associate professors. Those who can provide a notarized employment agreement with teaching institutions are preferred.

C. Applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers shall provide proof of employment as well as a reference letter issued by the employing institution

D. Applicants under the age of 18 shall provide certified documents of designation signed by their entrusted legal guardians in China.

E. Others
